About the Job:
We are seeking a highly capable and automation-driven DevOps Engineer to join our Service Team, with a strong focus on the ConnectWise ecosystem including RMM, PSA, RPA, Asio, and ITBoost.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising automation, monitoring, and service delivery workflows across a multi-client MSP environment. You will act as a technical escalation point while also driving efficiency through scripting, orchestration, and platform integration.
You will play a key role in enhancing operational maturity, reducing manual effort, and improving service consistency by leveraging ConnectWise tools and DevOps best practices. This is a hands-on, innovation-focused role ideal for someone passionate about automation, system integration, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
This role supports UK-based clients and operates within UK working hours. The position is fully remote.
Role Requirements:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, internal stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
- Proven experience working in a DevOps, Automation, or Senior Systems Engineering role, ideally within an MSP or multi-tenant environment.
Deep experience across the ConnectWise stack, including:
- ConnectWise RMM - monitoring, alerting, patching, scripting, and device management.
- ConnectWise PSA - ticketing workflows, service boards, automation rules, SLAs, and reporting.
- ConnectWise RPA - building and maintaining automation bots to streamline operational tasks.
- ConnectWise Asio platform - integrations, APIs, and unified platform management.
- ITBoost - documentation management, process standardisation, and knowledge sharing.
- Strong experience in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Experience building and maintaining automated workflows to reduce manual intervention and improve service delivery.
- Familiarity with API integrations and connecting systems across platforms.
DevOps & Infrastructure:
- Experience with CI/CD concepts, infrastructure automation, and configuration management.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred), including automation of provisioning and monitoring.
- Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
- Experience maintaining system health, monitoring alerts, and proactively resolving issues.
Operations & Service Delivery:
- Experience improving service desk efficiency through tooling optimisation and workflow enhancement.
- Strong understanding of patch management, endpoint management, and remote monitoring strategies.
- Experience supporting project transitions into BAU, ensuring automation and monitoring are correctly implemented.
- Familiarity with IT documentation standards and maintaining accurate system/process records.
Essential Criteria:
- 3+ years’ experience in a DevOps, Automation Engineer, or senior infrastructure role.
- Strong hands-on experience with the ConnectWise ecosystem (RMM, PSA, Automate/RPA, Asio).
- Proven ability to design and implement automation solutions at scale.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Strong understanding of MSP operations and service delivery models.
- Experience working with APIs and system integrations.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management frameworks.
Desirable Certifications:
- ConnectWise certifications (RMM, PSA, Automate/RPA).
- CompTIA or relevant infrastructure certifications.
